Obituary for Leo E. Linteri

Leo E. Linteri
ACTON: Leo E. Linteri, 90, of Acton, formerly of Maynard, MA, passed away on Sun. Oct. 14, 2018 in Concord, MA. Leo was born in Concord and raised in Maynard, a graduate of Maynard High School. He served honorably in the US Army in Japan during WWII until his discharge in 1948, and was employed for 37 years by General Motors, retiring at age 57. He has resided in Acton with Grace since 1990. Leo was an avid horseshoe player and liked fishing and swimming. He enjoyed his retirement years: running daily errands, looking forward to weekend trips to Foxwoods with his family, and wonderful trips to the Caribbean with his companion Grace. He loved singing, had a memorable speaking voice and was a participant in several Maynard H.S. musicals including the role of Curly in the musical “Oklahoma." He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Predeceased by his parents Arne and Hilja, his wife Margaret (Paine), and his brother Edwin Linteri, he leaves his long-time companion Grace Gray of Acton along with his five children, Pamela Weir (Harley) of Nova Scotia, Robert Linteri (Kathy) and Linda Diette, all of Athol, Lisa Wasilowski (Jamie) and Gail Neptune (David) all of Maine; sister Shirley Rediker of Maynard and brother Arne "Bob" Linteri of Westford; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and members of the Gray family.

Visiting hours are Fri. Oct. 19, 2018 from 5-7pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. Funeral services are Sat. Oct. 20th at 11am at the funeral home with burial immediately following in Woodlawn Cemetery, Concord Road, Acton Center. Donations in memory of Leo may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452. Memorial page
