Vincent F. Jarmulowicz, Jr.
Vincent Frank Jarmulowicz, Jr., 86, died peacefully February 27, 2018 in Oakland Park, FL. A former resident of Maynard and Acton, MA and Bristol, CT, for over 30 years he was a resident of Pompano Beach and recently Tamarac, FL.
Born in Boston and raised in Maynard, he was the son of the late Vincent and Antonina (Pianowski) Jarmulowicz. He was also predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Ann (Jarmulowicz) Britt, brother-in-law James Britt, and nephew Robert Jarmulowicz, Jr.
He is survived by a brother Bob “Jarmo” Jarmulowicz and his wife Sally, and a sister Joan Doran and her husband Ron, all of Maynard; nieces Jessica (Britt) Beer of Westford, Sarah (Britt) Ulich of Duxbury, Susan (Jarmulowicz) Carter, Ann Marie (Jarmulowicz) Chiasson and Linda (Jarmulowicz) Dallaire, all of Maynard; nephews Michael Britt and Peter Britt both of North Falmouth, and William Jarmulowicz of Sudbury.
Vincent was a graduate of the Maynard schools and Wentworth Institute of Technology, and served honorably in the US Army National Guard. An architectural designer and project estimator, he worked most of his career in the construction industry with companies in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Frank J. Rooney Co in Southern Florida. He later owned a consulting company, and for a time was a realtor in the Acton-Maynard area. An Elks member for over 53 years, in Florida he was a member of the Pompano Lodge #1898 where he belonged to the "Sawdust Gang," a group of Elks who volunteered to do improvement projects in the community.
In younger years, Vincent was an excellent football player. He enjoyed playing the trumpet, golfing, camping, boating and fishing. He was an avid traveler who liked cruises and trips to Europe, Las Vegas and Hawaii. Remembered as the life of the party, the lady’s loved him because he loved to dance. He especially enjoyed visitors to his home, serving as an excellent tour guide to all the best places in the area. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, April 6th from 8:30-9:30am at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00am in St. Bridget's Church, 1 Percival Street, Maynard. Burial will be in the family lot in Glenwood Cemetery, Great Road (Rte 117 Gate) Maynard.
